As you can tell from the title, this post is vampire-themed (and no, I do NOT mean the vampire-book-series-that-shall-not-be-named).
Ok, so I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while.
I never got to post about what I did last weekend!
It was so awesome.
Basically, Nick, Christina, Dante, and I all went to see Daybreakers, and then went to Taco Bell, and to a small bonfire get together (and saw a wild peacock!).
Anyway, Daybreakers rocked! Even though I'm as sick as the next person with more than half a brain at the vampire craze generated by the book-series-that-shall-not-be-named, Daybreakers was really cool.
The acting, special effects, and action was great.
I really enjoyed the creative spin on the vampire genre and the futuristic world that the movie created.
It made me want to have those wicked cool amber glow in the dark contacts and put shots of hemoglobin in my coffee too.

Although there were some weak spots, such as the plot holes and cheap scare gimmicks (i.e. screeching bats popping out and how a stake through the heart causes vampires to spontaneously, and without any scientific explanation, combust. I mean, really? And the fact that sunlight turns vampires back into humans but too much of it also causes them to spontaneously combust? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.)
But I must say, I'm in love with Ethan Hawk.

I loved his work in Dead Poets Society, Gattaca, Reality Bites, and New York, I Love You.
Sexyness, am I right?
Although, he looked much better as a blood-sucking vamp than as an ordinary human.
Ok, moving right along.
Speaking of vampires, my Vampire Weekend Contra - LP finally came in!

Ah! I love this album!
It has been playing non-stop on my turntable and shows no sign of stopping!
I'm not lying when I say that there is not a single song on there that I dislike.
I still haven't decided yet if Contra is better than Vampire Weekend's first album, but it definitely lived up to my expectations.
My favorite songs are Run, Cousins, and White Sky.
With all this talk of vampires, ironically enough, in biology class we're learning about the human circulatory system.
We've been learning all about the blood, and the heart, and how it moves throughout the body.
Our teacher even made us watch a video about open heart surgery (which actually showed the whole surgery taking place).
Uh, no thanks!
I hid my face in my notebook during the whole video.
I don't think I could ever survive as a vampire.
I'm too queasy when it comes to blood and guts.
